“Thousands of gamers joined together to play on world-class network, culminating in North America’s largest BYOC (Bring-Your-Own-Computer) LAN party.” –Quakecon
QuakeCon is a four-day, around-the-clock gaming experience. In addition to the largest BYOC LAN party in North America, QuakeCon offered gamers the opportunity to participate in drawings and competitions for cash prizes, an exhibit hall with the latest games and hardware and a tabletop gaming area. Attendees also had the chance to get a first sneak peek at Bethesda’s upcoming games and to hear from designers and gamers alike during several general sessions held over the four-day period.
Alford has been staging QuakeCon since 2005 and it’s always a fun event to be at.
“They’re a really great client to work with. They give us a lot of freedom to be creative and do some really cool things. I always have a great time working with these guys.” – Pat Reed, Project Manager
If the gaming and prizes weren’t enough, the incredible custom built computers are really something to be seen. Over the years there have been PC’s with aquariums, crazy lighting effects, and even a robot-sized/themed computer.
The creativity and dedication to some of these creations really shows through. It was another successful year at QuakeCon, if you love to game or if you just want to see some really cool stuff be sure to catch QuakeCon next year!
