Our Mission Statement – “We have a burning desire to excel—on show site, at the office, and in life. We believe true success cannot be achieved without the sincere outpouring of goodwill towards our community”. This is why we believe that we have a responsibility to our community, both local and global, to implement sustainable business practices.
We invested several years ago in our Peterbilt US EPA Certified SmartWay Semis. They are recognized for their lower greenhouse gas emissions, and for significantly reducing NOx, particulate matter and other air pollutants. All our drivers abide by a no-idling practice, additionally reducing emissions into the environment.
At our office we switched all of our light bulbs to LED. 95% of the energy in LEDs is converted into light and only 5% is wasted as heat. This is compared to fluorescent lights, which convert 95% of energy to heat and only 5% into light. LED lights also draw much less power than traditional lighting; reducing the demand from power plants and decreasing greenhouse gas emissions.
And, of course, we recycle all that we can. Along with paper, plastic and aluminum we are making a concerted effort to keep electronics out of landfills. We recycle all of our electronics, such as circuit boards, plasma screens, projector lamps, etc. through a company called DFW Reclaimers. We also take all our used carpet to Habitat For Humanity.
It is our company standard to use new batteries in all our wireless mics on show site to ensure a 0% failure rate for clients speaking at events. The result is a lot of leftover batteries, so we collect all of them and encourage staff to take as many as they want for personal use and also donate to local schools and churches for their needs. In addition, we send any other leftover batteries to DFW Reclaimers to be recycled.
